About
I make brands that feel like they were always supposed to exist.
Based in Appomatox, Virginia. Obsessed with the craft. Owned by one cat, who has an opinion about everything, including my work.
My work lives at the intersection of strategy and craft. I care deeply about why a brand exists before I think about what it looks like. The best visual systems I've built started with a really clear answer to a really simple question: what does this brand believe?Right now, I'm looking for a creative home where the work matters — where the brand has a genuine point of view and the team is serious about getting it right. Smalls is at the top of that list.
How I work
Systems over surfaces
A logo is the last thing I think about. I start with the full system — how does this brand behave across every touchpoint?
Craft is non-negotiable
The details are the work. Kerning, color relationships, material choices — these aren't finishing touches, they're the whole point.
Strategy and aesthetics are the same thing
The best-looking work is usually the most strategically clear. When you know exactly what you're saying, you know exactly how it should look.
Outside the studio
I cook, I read, and I spend an unreasonable amount of time thinking about what my cat eats.
